No I'm kidding, you don't have to impress him, just be nice and yourself and don't try to act very smart if you're actually not. Smart boys don't appreciate fake, smartish remarks that are obviously just dumb talk.
Try to observe your environment in a smart way and let him know you're able to do so. That's a classic way of letting know you're bright.
