To impress your mom do something that's her choice like you can take an example from main hoon na in that movie zayed khan took a haircut to impress her mom as well as present for her birthday so same one can do to impress his or her mom or try to share her happiness and sorrows with her so that she should not feel that theres nobody with her in this world. This will surely impress her.

Mom and/or Dad, the world over, are looking for initiative on your part. Start a meal without being asked, or offer to cook it. Set the table without being asked. Do other chores that need doing around the house (garbage collection, weeding the garden, watch other children, wash the car, offer to help with laundry, cleaning, folding, offer to touch up a room with fresh paint, offer to help rearrange furnishings, get up on time or even before, etc).

Generally when a person does this without the constant nagging that some parents end up feeling like they have to give, this impresses the parent into thinking you are responsible and becoming more adult like.
