To train your strength level, click on the first tab in the series (combat styles, or w/e), and you should look for the second button (usually it's called 'aggressive' when you highlight it).
When training, your character will attack with their feet, while training on aggressive without a weapon. That's an easy way to tell which combat style you're using.
