Depends if you're typing or writing. If typing you would press the tab key, if writing move an inch to the right.

go to options or word options from ribbon or file and choose customize ribbon,under customize shortcuts press button Customize..and you have option to assign your own shortcut something its easy for you to remember if you use this often
i think you are looking for "indent". When you press tab you make an indent.
Tab key is on the left hand side, 1 tab= 5 spaces
on the key board you would use the tab button once
