As the tobacco or whatever burns it releases chemicals which are drawn in by air sucked through the cigarette into the lungs. The lungs have a rich supply of blood vessels so that the chemical are rapidly transferred from the inhaled air into the circulation. The tar and other compounds though just accumulate within the lung and can be a serious danger to your health dude.

∙ 13y agoFirsst, you put the cigarette to your mouth, then you inhale deeply. After th smoke is in your througt you take a second deep breath without exhaling in between, then you let it out really slowly to enjoy the feeling.

If you breathe in a lot of it then yes you can test positive but the count would be low. Same with marijuana or anything else that can be smoked. Kinda like cigarettes, when you're around cigarettes you inhale second hand smoke and that effects you too.
