You can no longer install Windows 10, as the period providing a free upgrade for Windows 8 users has already ended . The last day to take advantage of this upgrade was July 29 2016.
During the free upgrade period, one option was to go directly to official Microsoft Windows site and upgrade from there. Another was a reminder that would occasionally appear that asked you whether you wanted to install. All you needed to do was click yes to confirm. There is probably another way to manually access the prior option.
Now that the trial period is over you probably don't have these option except to purchase it from their site and install it the old fashioned way.
You can run it for free by using Boot Camp or Parallels to install Windows on a partition of your Apple hard drive. Of course you will have to purchase the Windows OS in order to install it unless someone will give it to you.

Windows 7 is the safest Windows so far. Try installing AVG (free) or Norton (paid) If you want super-safety for free, you can install Ubuntu from ubuntu.com (it's free). It's a really nice and really safe OS.

Hi,Unlike Windows Vista and XP, Windows 7 does not come with an email application. We need to install windows live mail or purchase MS-Outlook. Else you can try using Mozilla Thunderbird which is a free email client.Regards,Zulfir Sadat M
The short answer is - you can't ! Every copy of Windows software must be paid for, whether that's buying an upgrade from the version you're already using - or a complete install disk. There are no legal free downloads of Windows software !
Yes, you need to install Windows 7 onto Bootcamp (which comes free with the mac) or parallels, which you can buy. Then you can boot into Windows 7 or Mac OS X.

Um...Windows is an Operating system...not a program. you'd have to install Windows separate from Mac on a separate partition or hard drive. It is also illegal to get it free, it's a paid program. Piracy is stealing. Hope this helps
You DO NOT have to wipe your hard drive or "downgrade" to run windows XP on a vista computer. Download and install Microsoft Virtual PC. its free and will allow you to run another operating system in a window of the current one you are running. You can have both!
Unless you already have a free partition on your hard drive or an additional hard drive, you cannot install Red Hat Enterprise Linux without "disturbing" Windows; you will need to resize the Windows partition to make room.
It requires 20 GB of free hard drive space.
