The OBD-II port on a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side. You can find it near the steering column, often just above the brake pedal. It may be necessary to remove a cover or panel to access it fully.
The connector for the brake controller is under the dashboard on your right close to the driver's foot rest. If you buy the genuine Toyota wiring harness with the connector then it will not take you more than a minute or so to install it as it fits right into the wiring harness that leads away from the brake controller. Make sure that everything is fixed in place and not lose.
The brake controller has to be hooked up to a power source. The controller also has to be hooked to the brake switch or tail lights, then to the plug for the trailer.
