Most 2.5 inch lift kits are pretty simple. These trucks have leaf springs in the front and back. Blocks should be put between the leaf springs and the axel in the back (longer u-bolts may be required). In the front people usually put an additional leaf spring and brackets need to be installed to lower the inner hinges of the twin i-beam suspinsion. That's about it. If you go much higher than 3 inches you will need to lower the differential so that the drive shafts are not at so much of an angle
