Take the oil pan off and remove the bolt that holds the pump to the thrust bearing cap.
Install the new pickup on the new pump and verify the pickup location. It's a good idea to tack weld the pickup to the pump in a couple places.
Install the pump driveshaft to the pump with a new connector.
Install the new pump being careful to align the drive shaft with the distributor. Sometimes you have to turn the driveshaft and put it up in there a couple times until you get them lined up.

It will be a 305 or a 350 fuel enjection engine ( TBI )
The only one I can think of is the exhaust Y-pipe may not fit from the 305 to the 350.
