After you disconnect the steering knuckles (that's the hard part) the axles pull out. As I recall, there is a split ring spring that you can feel click in when you have the new axles installed deep enough.
To disconnect the steering knuckles:
You might want to put a drip pan under the tranny unless you like oil on your driveway. Don't forget that this will be the best time to change the oil in your tranny and to do a brake job. If your ball joints are sloppy, you ought to get new ones pressed in and if the tie rod ends are shot, get new ones. Check those brake hoses--they don't last forever.
NO... There's no way to install manual lock-outs because of the way Chevy designed the drivetrain / axels. After 1987.
they connect the transmission to the wheels to make it move
yes it will fit they are all the same size..... from 92-00 civics vx dx hx ex and cx trims use all the same axels be it auto or manual
First remove front axels, then remove the transmission, undo clutch bell housing. Add on new clutch pressure plate.....new clutch bell housing......put the transmission back in and axels
Its on the axels, see owner manual
You bolt them under the frame in the proper position. If you have not done this before, leave it to the movers.
The speed sensor is located in the back of the transmission, in between the axels.
Yes, you must pull both axles to change any transmission, Mazda or not.
The drive line is the transmission, rear ends, driveshafts, transfur case and axels.
so far i have removed the both axels and the wiper's assembly and air intake, tires.brakes
the pedals , driveshaft, shifter. and stub axels. speedo cable.
You may need to greese them , because of metal-to-metal contact . Or hub axels are bad and may need to replace them.
