You don't plug in a driver, you install it. Assuming you have installed the hardware correctly, the driver for your sound card shoud have been provided to you in a CD when you bought the sound card. Typically windows will pick up the new hardware and automatically installe the driver. if not look 'em online.
first we should see that the driver for that specific hardware has been installed or not. if it has been installed then go to the device manager right click on the harware, go to properties then click on rollback driver. if that doesn't work then see if any CD came with your harware device. if there is a CD then insert it and get the driver from there. if there is no CD then try to download the driver from the internet and install it. if none of these is possible go to your computer service center and ask him for the specific driver software.
