you have to very very very very very very carefully... its better to introduce them when they are babies....
A male rat is a buck or bull. A female rat is a cow or doe A young rat is called calf or pup and other names.

It depends on how old the baby rat is and also what gender both the rats are. It is easier to introduce an 8-10 week old rat to an adult male. Whereas, it is easier to introduce a 12-16 weeks old rat to an adult female. Females have a tendency to hurt babies that are too young. I have owned many rats in the past, both female groups and male. I currently have seven males in one cage and all are different ages.
to have a baby rat
Yes
a female rat is called a doe and a male is a buck
They will sniff each other but not for disease.
rats are mature at a month and a half of age
No. Not the same species.
That depends on if you introduce them properly or not.
A male rat has testicles and a female does not! Take a peek under the tail! They are rather noticeable! If the male is neutered it may be more difficult. In that case compare the rat to another rat you are sure of the gender of. Male rats are a lot larger than females. Also you may be able to feel nipples on a female rat's stomach.
The fmale rat will sniff the male rat, while he sniffs her at the same time. You will need to watch them for about an hour to make sure they don't fight. If you do not want babies, keep them separate. The male rat will try to mount the female rat, if he is not spayed. If you do want babies leave them together for 10 days (If they don't fight.), and you will surely have babies 21 days after she got prego.
