Most games are designed to run only on Windows PC's. In order to user some Windows programs on Ubuntu, you will have to utilize Wine.
No. After download and burn the Ubuntu 10.10 install disk, you can either TRY Ubuntu without affecting your Windows at all, or INSTALL Ubuntu to have them both in your PC. However, to install Ubuntu, you need to be careful. Make sure not to install Ubuntu to the Windows drive. That is all.
All pcs can run Linux. Specifically, you can download and run Ubuntu, which is Linux based. Any PC can run Ubuntu and/or dual-boot Windows and Ubuntu.
get a windows install disc of windows, pop it in your disc tray, and do a fresh install pretty obvious answer isn't it?
join the client to workgroup and restart the PC. it will be out of domain. But you require proper admin rights to do so.
Yes. Instead of rebooting with the CD in the drive, pop it in, go in the CD and run Wubi.exe. Wubi is an easy way to install Ubuntu alongside Windows, with one-click uninstall should you want to later.
check the dns first check the IP would has admin rights on the domain to add machine. restart PC
All that I have found so far involves making the PC leave the domain by joining a workgroup, then rejoining the domain.
join the PC in a domain and restart , you will need domain admin rights to do so
If your windows XP Professional based PC is connected to a domain, you can not add a user to the domain. This must be done on the server, and added in the active directory. If you just want to add a user ( not on a domain ), then go to START - SETTINGS - CONTROL PANEL - USER ACCOUNTS
the ubuntu is a software.it can be taken into a PC either by inserting its official CD into it. or by downloading it from its official website.
it all depends on what u are planning to do on your PC.... if you plan on doing alot of video, audio, and image editing and such you should choose OSX if you plan on playing alot of PC games choose Windows if you enjoy a super cutomizable desktop, free everything, no viruses, choose Linux personally i run ubuntu Linux on my computer, and i absolutely love it, by far my favourite OS. i have a mac, a computer with windows 7, and a computer with ubuntu, so i know the advantages and disadvantages of all of them
