Make sure all the wheel bolts are installed correctly and tighten them to the correct torque specification.
Can figure out how to remove rear rotor assembly to replace wheel bearing assembly on a Maxima 2004 Nissan
To remove the rear rotors on a 2002 Oldsmobile, a wheel puller will be necessary. A wheel puller has a foot that attaches to the hub, with feet that attach to the rotor. The more the wheel puller is turned, the more it pushes on the hub and loosens the rotor.
I assume that you have removed the wheel and so on. In order to remove the rotor you will have to remove the caliper and its bracket. Only after you will be able to remove the rotor.
First you need to know if the vehicle has 4 wheel or 2 wheel ABS. If its 4 wheel you will have 1 at each front brake rotor and 1 at the top of the rear differential housing. If its 2 wheel ABS it will only have the rear sensor on the diff. First you need to know if the vehicle has 4 wheel or 2 wheel ABS. You need to remove the caliper. Usually there are 2 bolts/pins that go through the calipers, holding them in place. Once the calipers are off, the rotors should come off quite easily. If it's a front wheel vehicle, the rotor should just pull off. If it's a rear wheel vehicle, the rotor is often integral to the wheel bearing and hub. For a rear wheel caliper, just pull the center wheel bearing cotter pin, nut, remove the wheel bearings and pull the rotor.
Remove the tire and wheel. Remove the brake pads and break hardware. The rotor will slide off. You may need to tap the rotor with a hammer.
Two wheel drive is 18.5mm minimum thickness. If not two wheel drive you can pull the rotors off and they will have the min stamped right there on the rotor.
Out of alignment.......warped brake rotor......broken belt in a tire.....
front or rear rotor? jack up wheel that needs rotor removed. remove wheel remove brake pads and caliper for back axle, remove axle nut. u will need special socket to remove this nut slide rotor off axle, making sure u dont drop bearings on the ground to remove front rotor on4x4, it is pretty much the same as rear , except you will have to remove locking hub from axle before you can remove axle nut.
Block the front wheels to keep the Sierra from rolling. Jack the truck up and use a safety stand. Take off the wheel. Remove the brake calipers, then the rotor should slide off.
Not a chance. The front wheel has no way to attach the rear rotor.
