i have a tune port injection camaro, when i do this i just let the pressure out of the fuel rail. then i remove the fuse. your gonna loose some fuel. just make sure you look at it before you remove it so you dont try putting it on backwards. and if i were you only use flare nut wrenches... other wise you risk twisting the fuel lines and then you just made another task for you self.
Find the 1987 Camaro fuel filter on the cars frame. Cover the connectors with a rag, and loosen them. Remove the filter, and put the new one in. Tighten the lines to complete the installation.
IT IS LOCATED UNDERNEATH DRIVERS SIDE OF THE CAR BEFORE THE REAR TIRE.THE LINES SNAP ON AND OFF OF THE FUEL FILTER.
the fuel filter of a camaro from 1981 to 1992 is on the drivers side under the car at least 1' feet away from the rear back left tire. You will see all the gas lines running under the car on that side ok.....
Relieve fuel system pressure. detatch filter bracket from the chasis. depress the plastic quick release tabs and detatch the lines from the filter. use one wrench to steady the filter and another to unscrew the fuel line fitting and remove filter.
follow fuel lines to filter. remove lines from filter and fit lines to new filter.
trace fuel lines to filter, disconnect lines from filter, fit lines to new filter
If you ran it dry the filter is probably all gooked up and needs changing, after that you will need to bleed all the air out of the filter can and the oil lines
What lines are u having probs with?
separate the lines from the filter and fit the lines onto the new filter. just trace the fuel lines to find the filter
Try changing your fuel filter/lines. It could have had sucked something into the lines and cannot get any more fuel through.
You did not say what year it is, and that makes it tough to answer. But you can look at this. I think your engine has 2 oil cooler lines that start at the top of you oil filter and runs to the radiator. Your oil filter is screwed onto aOIL FILTER ADAPTER If you remove the filter you will see 2 bolts that hold the adapter to the block. If your oil lines are leaking were they hook to the adapter then get 2 o-rings from parts store and remove lines and install the o-rings onto the ends of the lines. If the oil is coming from the top of the oil filter then go and buy yourself a oil filter adapter gasket kit and remove those two bolts that I was talking about earlier and replace the gaskets.
located on the drivers side, slightly ahead of the rear tire. its a cyllinder with lines coming from both ends. you'll need to jack and stand up the rear.
