I think it is hopeless!!! We have tried red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper and moth balls! I just read about sprinkling blood meal around the plants but it has to be done weekly and after each rain. I think we will try that next.
Put out a plastic plant for trickery...that way they won't come back. DON'T PUT POISON IN IT LIKE THE LAST GUY SAID!
You could scare the squirrel away, using a dog, or just walking outside when you see one. Another tactic could be setting up traps and capturing them.
Cayenne Pepper and Poison will work just fine.
You should make some creepy noises or some loud noises which are unusually their natural hearings outside in their world[next to the trees].or just take a stick and pretend to hit them

Seeds, nuts, fruits, buds, mushrooms, roots, pine cones, leaves, bark, anything they can find, really. Squirrels are vegetarians.
Squirrel feeders are one option for keeping squirrels away from bird feeders and other parts of the property.Specifically, squirrels really love nuts, especially those of the black walnut tree (Juglans nigra). It is possible to set up a feeder or feeding corner with a squirrel mix that is store-bought or homemade. Otherwise, it is difficult to keep squirrels away from a feeder or area of the property that has gotten their attention.

no Squirrels eat plants and nuts.
I wish I had your problem, we have no squirrels here, but if you sprinkle cayenne pepper in and around the pots the little guys will stay away.
Red pepper should not harm plants in your garden if you sprinkle it around the plants to keep the cats and dogs away. However I would keep it away from the leaves and petals.
it will keep certain bugs away from all types of plants.
You can either shoot them or set traps up all over the place.
well what ever the lynxes eat will get a higher population and there will be less plants, for example say if lynxes eat squirrels and squirrels eat plants if the lynxes die then there are more squirrels and the more squirrels there are, well the squirrels would eat the plants and if there are more squirrels the more the plants are eaten so less plants and life on earth this would also happen with other animals oh and check out new hollow they are my favorite band.
