You have to click really fast to keep your food down. If you don't click fast enough, it rises in the stomach and then you will let out a loud burp.

There are a couple of tricks to try with the watercress salad:

1) click with two fingers by turning your mouse sideways

2) minimize your browser window, or switch to another window or tab -- you cannot lose (this game) if the Poptropica window is not active. Come back after a minute and you have won.

To keep the lettuce down you need to click fast and often. Go too slow, and you burp before all of the lettuce is gone.
