General rule of thumb is that if you look st it you will see the internal element is broken. On some fuses they can develop a crack and not allow current to flow but they look goo. In this instance you need to use a meter to check it.
check it
The theft deterrent system will not work.
Take a continuity tester and check them. you'll find the bad one
Check for a blown fuse in fuse block and also at the top of the compressor Bad switch Bad compressor clutch
it is a fuse that protects the ignition relay from too much current. a bad fuse would cause a no start, and if you pull the fuse, its center core will be burnt out if it is bad.
You can buy a bunch of different fuses and a tester for about 12 bucks. No way to know for sure unless you test. Look inside fuse box for diagram. Test fuse either in the panel or out. Only way to be sure.
Check each fuse with a continuity tester - Set to OHM's Remove each fuse and connect leads to fuse - a good fuse with show continuity "0" resistance while a bad fuse will show "Infinity" resistance
There's really no general way of knowing, it's all down to how sensitive the equipment the fuse is hooked up to is. There should be recommendations on what type of fuse to use.
A fuse doesn't go bad. It protects a circuit. If the circuit is overloaded the fuse blows. If your Nissan is running sluggish, it is not a fuse going bad.
Can be just a blown fuse, so check the fuse. The lighter itself can be defective or the outlet can be bad. Try a known good lighter from another car and see if it works. If so, your lighter is bad. If not, then check the fuse. If the fuse is good you know you have a wiring problem or the outlet is defective and must be replaced.
Use a multimeter to check if the fuse is still conducting current. Set the multimeter to read Ohms and place one lead on one end of the fuse. Put the other lead on the other side and see if there is a reading. If there is, the fuse is whole. If there is no reading, the fuse is blown.
You check for power at the pump. If you have power and ground, the pump is bad. If no, then you need to check the wiring including the fuse.
