How do you know if a question should be Trashed into 'Adds no value'?

If the question has no value for the site. Typically this means the question is nonsense. Some examples are:
- "Are you an alien?"
- "What did you do during the weekend?"
- "Are you a robot?"
- "What is your favorite food?"
- "How are you doing?"
- "What is going on?"
- "Where do you work?"
- "What is My cats name?"
You can also look through the Adds No Value category to get a better feel of what should be trashed there. If you are ever unsure of what should be trashed, contact a Mentor.

Ignoring a question is an answer of sorts...you can probably expect this particular question will be trashed for "Adds no value". How about asking some questions that do add value?...or answering some questions? That's what keeps this board alive.

If you're a supervisor, in the blue bar to the left of the page, under "Question tools," click on "Trash." You will be taken to a list of options as your reason for trashing a question; click on the "Adds no value" option, and then click on the "Continue" button at the bottom of the pop-up box.

Why does this website tell you your question adds no value when you just want to know the answer?

However, we supers are human and we're are not infallible.
