There is no feature for users to see if other users received a warning or if you did, only if you see a message from a WikiAnswers supervisor warning you about a possible violation you or someone might of made in the Community Guidelines.

Another Answer

'User' in this context can mean either an anonymous person who is only identified by the IP address of the computer used to visit WikiAnswers, or the screen name of a person who is registered.

Warnings are issued for abusing the site, as above.

When a person visiting WikiAnswers who is not registered violates a guideline, the computer is blocked from access for a period determined by the supervisor who blocked the IP address -- up to 30 days in some cases.

When a person who is registered abuses the site, sometimes a supervisor will send a message -- an informal warning -- and it appears on the offender's message board. If the warning is official, a warning number appears on the registered person's profile page. (Two are generally allowed before an account is blocked.)

What can a Supervisor do if they gave an official warning to the wrong user?

At present, there is no option for removing or resetting the warning status of a user. However, usually a message board apology to the user concerned - and deletion of the warning from the user's message board - is sufficient by way of an apology. The correct user should then be warned. Another option is to leave the warning, but to add a note explaining that the user has been warned in error. This way, if another supervisor wants to check why the user was warned, they will at least see the explanation and apology. If the warned user is unsatisfied with the apology and/or deletion, advising the user to contact the Community Advisor would be appropriate.

How do you send a warning for inappropriate answers?

(This tool is available for Supervisors only) To send a warning for inappropriate answers, go to the users profile page and click on the "Warn" button. There you can choose what kind of warning you want. If the answer included profanity, you can choose the "Profanity (1st warning)" if the user hasn't been warned for that before or "Profanity (2nd warning)" if the user has already been warned. If you can't find an option for what you want to warn the user for, click on "Blank" and write your own warning. Since these 'official' warnings leave a permanent mark on the user's record, it's a good idea to give an unofficial warning first, unless the offence is really bad. Sometimes a user just needs a little guidance to settle down and become a good contributor.

When is a warning issued on WikiAnswers?

Why someone who breaks the rules of WikiAnswers can be blocked with no warning in his.her user page and with no explanatory email and therefore he.she doesn't know what was the wrong thing he.she did?

Normally, if a Supervisor blocks a user, they give that person a warning first, and if the user continues with whatever they were doing, that Supervisor will block them. It's not required to send a warning, it's just that most Supervisors do that. In some cases, if a user has given some REALLY bad answers, that are extremely incorrect, biased, offensive, or rude, they will block that person right away. But I'm not so sure why this person never said why they decided to block you. They might have been a newer, less experienced Supervisor.
