Fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank so you have to remove you fuel tank to replace the fuel filter. I had a problem with mine and had to replace the fuel pump and filter at the same time.
Yes, replace it to see if that is the problem. Also replace the fuel filter.
2005 Kia Spectra does not contain a external fuel filter but rather has a fuel filter in the fuel pump it self. The filter in the pump is said to be a lifetime filter, but can be replaced if desired. The only time to replace the filter is if the pump itself is being replaced or serviced, otherwise its not necessary to replace
Yes, there is one but it is not serviceable. Generally you would replace the fuel pump and filter at the same time on the g35 model.
Have someone turn the ignition to the on position without starting the engine. At the same time you should listen at the fuel filler door with the cap off. If you hear the pump run you know the fuse and relay are good. If you hear nothing check the fuse and replace the relay. If you hear it run then the fuel pump is running but is not pumping fuel or your fuel filter is clogged. Replace the fuel filter before proceeding any farther. If after replacing the filter you are still not getting fuel the pump is defective.
It sounds like a fuel problem. Check your fuel filter/water separator (sometimes there are more than one filter), and replace if clogged, or if you don't know the last time it/they were replaced.
Fuel pump is inside tank. Drop fuel tank and replace through cover and re-install. Make sure you replace fuel filter at the same time.
Replace it when it fails. It may last the life of the car and it may fail at any time. Change the fuel filter every 50,000 miles or you will shorten the life of the fuel pump.
The fuel filter is in the gas tank. It has been industry practice for a long time. You might as well replace the fuel pump and fuel sending unit while you're in there.
You have to have the gas tank dropped. The fuel filter is actually a sock placed over the intake inside the gas tank. It's in your best interest to go ahead and replace the fuel sensor that's located inside the tank too. Total project to have a mechanic do for me was about $300. (the biggest part of the bill being labor). If it's time to replace the filter, it's definitely worth it to have them replace the sensor at that time to save you down time and money.
Lack or power-starving for fuel If it is original (7 yrs. old) it is time to replace
In 2004 Chevy moved the fuel filter from the drivers side frame rail and put it inside of the fuel tank. You will have to remove the fuel tank to service the fuel filter. =========================================================== I wanted to add that these filters are designated "Life-Time" fuel filters and there is no need to replace them unless fuel pump replacement needs to be performed.
