A "psychopath" is a person with an antisocial personality disorder, manifested in aggressive, perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior without empathy. This is different defined from the separate classification "sociopath."
NOTE
Many people will erroneous consider themselves or others "psychopathic" based on any number of personality quirks, lack of empathy, or disregard for authority. As with any mental disoder, genetic or acquired, classification into broad categories is only possible where similar patterns of behavior exist. Only a mental health professional can determine an individual's status or treatment.

How Society Sees PsychopathsPsychopaths are simply people who do not feel empathy or react to stimuli the way normal people would. They will feel no consequences to their actions whatsoever, and morality is an abstract concept to which they can never feel obligated. They will not react to death, incest, violence, sadism, or any shocking behavior the way a normal person would, and are immune to feeling regret or compunction. A psychopath will never feel the need to apologize or seek forgiveness.Numerous websites on the internet will tell you that research using brain scanning technology has recently revealed that the brain of a psychopath functions and processes information differently.
Are you involved with a psychopath (extreme sociopath)? You may not know because they can be very charming and friendly and can appear to be altruistic, until you get close and inevitably they do something threatening or immoral and then you must set limits that disappoint them.
The near-constant state of frustration and dissatisfaction felt by a true psychopath is the source of not only their rages but those eerie, on-and-off-like-a-faucet tears. (Yes, tears are seen even in some men, though of course still more common in children and women.)
But, don't assume anyone is a psychopath based only on the person's apparent attitude and behavior. It is far more complex than that, including factors in the pattern of the person's life and many other characteristics.
Please don't go around assuming or calling someone a psychopath just because he/she may have some of the warning signs.
Get a professional opinion from a qualified mental health professional if you think you are involved with a psychopath. And then ask what to do, not only for the psychopath but for yourself, because being involved with a psychopath is risky.
I would say that most "psychopaths" are never truly aware that they detached. Anyone claiming this, usually is not, and it's pretty sick to claim something this horrible. Studies I've seen would be that similar to a very I'll narcissist, they would never think there was a problem in the first place, let alone know they are sick. And be aware that someone labelled a psychopath, isn't always some crazy killer, more often than not, by a lot, it is a severe detachment from reality, where the prognosis of ever being connected to the normal reality, ever again, is very poor. But of course to sell yourself in media and for other sick reasons, people will often claim to be a psychopath, which isn't to say said person isn't evil, or maybe a sociopath with a violent nature. But that's still different than being so far gone that you're completely lost in your own reality that is in no way, connected with the so called normal reality.
So I'm not saying not to be weary of self proclaimed "psychopaths", or people called that. But just understand what the media pushes out as psychopaths, is rarely the case of someone truly afflicted with this horrible pathology.
a phycopath is one who is very obsessive in the way they want the world around them to go on. they want everything to be done there way like say they like a girl that doesnt like them back they will go in her house kill her whole family just to be noticed by the girl. they can be harmless or bloodlusting killers it depends on the severity.

Characteristics are pretty much the same as a sociopath.
