a coolant temperature sensor:can cause hard starting, stalling, blacksmoke from tailpipe, hesatation, rough idle, surging, cold engine warm up problems, poor fuel economy, the sensor sends a signal to computer!! fuel mixture and ignition timing are also affected by coolant sensor.
on a 2002 Chevy silverado with a 4.6 liter v6 where is the coolant sensor for low coolant. I have a light on and check the overflow and their is coolant but don't know if their is another one or not.
The themostat is located in the top rad hose on the engine side, but I don't know about the sensor. In my 91 the coolant temp sensor is in the thermostat housing and the engine temp sensor is on the block.
the stereo in my 2000 Chevy Malibu is in lock mode and i don't know the codes, how do i unlock it?
UNFORTUNATELY, I have a 2001 Malibu and have had gaskets replaced three times now (intake and head) to fix coolant leaks. My sister and mom both have the same engine in their cars and have similar problems. Apparently this engine is prone to coolant leaks (which are pricey to repair).
On the 2006 Chevrolet Malibu the fuel level sensor is a separate part. I know this because I have to buy one because ours broke around 20,000 miles. We are at 72,000 miles now and just investigated into it. To buy it from Chevy it's about an $193.00 part and that's from a Chevy dealer. I have seen them other places online but I am skeptical of purchasing from a place I don't know. It takes about 3 hours labor to install as well. Hope this helps :)
i really dont know i know alot about cars but i never had a 2005 hevy malibu i will get back to you
i would like to know what would cause the miss firing in Chevy Malibu
you don`t know?
Fuel pressure test.
Sounds like oil lite or coolant lite. HAVE them checked
Need to know which sensor, there are several.
I only know of 1 cam sensor on the 3.1! it is under power steering pump. remove pump, do not take off hoses just set it aside. now you can see sensor, remove bolt that holds sensor, and remove sensor by pulling straight up.
