It is best to fit a suitable supercharger to extend its working life
2001-2002 LS-1 Vortech 5.7 v-9 sq g is the engine that the Supercharger System was made for. yes it is too much for a 3800 v-6 to handle. The f body 5.7l will improve to 470 horsepower and 462 ft/lbs of torque with ram air models and 448 horsepower and 449 ft/lbs of torque can be attained on non-ram air engines
Yes, as long as it is a 3800 Series II V6. Not a Series I. A Series II will say Series II on the engine cover. If it is a Series one it would fit because it is the same size, but I do not know if it will work with the Grand Prix's ECU and transaxle.
Most diesel engines are turbo charged, not a lot of diesels are supercharged. A turbo diesels engine will also have a intercooler which will give it added HP. - - - - - The only supercharged diesels I know of are two-stroke Detroit Diesels like the Series 53, the Series 71 (aka the Yachtsman's Friend) and the Series 92. Unlike a four-stroke diesel, a two-stroke diesel can't breathe on its own. They all have blowers - now you know where the nickname came from - to force air into the cylinder while it's at bottom dead center. The supercharger can only do so much for you; if you want to increase your engine's power, you bolt a turbocharger to the air intake on the supercharger. Some DDs are made only in turbo models, like the 6V92. The 71 Series was made with or without turbos, so check the model number: 6-71 is a vanilla engine, 6-71T has a turbo, 6-71TI has intercooling and I can't find out what the "B" stands for, sorry.
The most common and normal signs will be: * Oil leakage from the supercharger * Supercharger making a knocking noise * Lower or no boost pressure * Oil not present inside the supercharger
no you don't if you know how to do it right but if you want to do it with out a struggle then it would be best to do it that way
no, they come in 3.4, 3.6, or 3.8 liter engines with the 3.8 being most powerful and what cops use, you can buy ones for the 3.8 i know but not sure about others but they dont come standard
Hi there. You know what's funny is I typed in the EXACT same question- year and all. Kudos for wanting to get the most out of your pathy! They're the most underrated vehicle I've ever seen. Here's what I know... I know that most engines, unless built with a stock turbo or supercharger have cast pistons- which are really only intended for the type of pressure they encounter they are exposed to under stock conditions. Engines with superchargers usually have forged or hypereutectic pistons- which are more durable and made to stand up to the added demand created by a turbo/super charger. Does this mean that you can't do it??? I don't know. The Nissan VG30I engines have proven to be really tough when you take good care of them. Here's a website that might really help: nissanpathfinders.com. Good luck!
The question is about my Buick Regal GS 2000 Supercharger oil Information
do not remove your supercharger belt, the engine is set up to work with supercharger. my belt broke on mine and i was told to replace it before i drive it to much
I know you can get it on iTunes.
Could be the bearings/pulley. until you fix the issue you should remove the charger belt, so it doesn't get worse (blow the supercharger).
