∙ 10y agoYou can get tested four weeks or so after the treatment is completed, but there are no problems with resistance to date (as of early 2014). The CDC does not recommend test of cure at this time. However, reinfection with chlamydia during and after treatment is so common that the CDC recommends retesting for all patients, regardless of treatment history, three months after treatment.

It is more likely that you got retested too soon, got reinfected during or immediately after treatment, or did not take the right medication in the right manner.
