You need to take a wrench to loosen the oxygen sensor, then you will need to disconnect the cord. Once you have done that you will then pull out the old oxygen sensor.
You can not successfully clean an oxygen sensor. You need to replace it.
If the vehicle was built with an oxygen sensor, you will need an oxygen sensor.
There are 4 of them on the car, so you need to know which one is faulty. To replace them is the same for all. Disconnect the connector to the faulty o2 sensor and using a o2 sensor socket or a wrench that will fit unscrew the sensor. Install the replacement sensor and reconnect the wire.

You need a engine scanner and hook it up and it will tell you what sensor is bad.
To answer this i will need to know whatsize engine you have.
Upstream Oxygen Sensor heater performance. That will be the first oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipe ( closest to the engine ) on the passenger side head. You need to check the wireing connector that hooks to the oxygen sensor for a broken wire are bad connection. If you find no problems, then replace oxygen sensor.
Need to know the year and engine size.
