You can tell if your pickup is a 'dually' by looking at it. If it has two tires on EACH side at the rear, then it is a 'dually'.
I have both a '78 F250 trailer special and a '78 F350 camper special. They both have the same engine and transmission. My camper special has an extended wheel base( not all have this feature, only a few) and a double leaf spring in the back. It came from the factory with camper tie-downs instaled. It also has the spare tire were the side utility box is on my trailer special. My trailer special has a larger rear axle, I think its a 10.5in as opposed to a 9.0in the camper special. Other than that they are pretty much the same truck. Hope this helps. 78_ford_fanatic
5000 lbs. !!!!!! Just had mine weighed to win a bet :)
only if the f250 is a dually to but otherwise no because the front and rear wheels are offset on the dually
I've seen 360, 390 and 460 all said to be standard.
im wondering the same thing but i thin k it will
Your answer is NO... The F550 & F450 use a 10 bolt patern and the F250 & F350 use an 8 bolt patern.
I would think a Dana 44 up front and a Dana 60 in the rear, that's what a 77 ford f250 super camper special had anyway. That's correct. - JT owner 1979 f350 crewcab
You could try your local ford dealership and also NAPA auto parts , also autozone may se helpfull.
Yes use Sanderson shorty headers PNFF427 on the 68 Ford Camper Special with the FE Additionally, Sanderson had done some R&D, and come up with a specific set for the F-250 Camper Special: #FF427-CS. (This set, according to Sanderson, uses a Passenger side #427, and a driver side #391 header.) You can order the set direct from Sanderson. I don't know if any other suppliers offer this specific part number.
12 to 16 mpg depending on weather and towing.
Yes, you can convert a Ford F-250 to an F-350 dually, but it requires significant modifications. You'll need to replace the rear axle with a dually axle, install wider fenders to accommodate the dual tires, and possibly upgrade the suspension to handle the additional weight. It's also important to consider any necessary changes to the vehicle's braking system and ensure that the modifications comply with local regulations.
