In general, if the alternator is bad, then the battery becomes discharged and does not have the energy to crank the engine. The starter could also be bad, possibly damaged by the high current resulting from cranking with low voltage. That's a "bad news - bad news" situation, as high crank current can also damage the battery. Check for plate buckling, often seen as expansion of the battery case." To isolate this, you need to charge the battery with an external charger. Starting from a fully charged battery, you will quickly see if there is a battery or starter problem, or a problem with the control circuitry. Then, with the engine running, you check the charging voltage and current. The voltage should be between 13.5V and 14.5V. If it is low, you need to consider alternator or regulator, or shorted cell in the battery. See below for charging current. It is also possible that the regulator circuit is At Fault, maybe caused by a blown fuse. If all looks good, you need to consider the age of the battery and its ability to hold a charge. It is also possible that a system load, such as a light being on, is draining the battery. Don't forget to check unexpected lights, such as glove box, trunk, and engine compartment. Some of these tests, charging and standby voltage, can be measured with an ordinary voltmeter, and battery charge state can be assessed by measuring the electrolyte's specific gravity. Other tests, such as crank and charge current, battery hold time, etc. are more involved and require specific equipment.
If you don't know how to do this then you don't have the right equipment to do it safely.
start the car and let it idle while the car is running unplug the mass airflow sensor if the idle does not change then the sensor is probably bad if the idle does change or the engine dies out then it is working so leave it alone cause they arent cheap. A Chrysler Cirrus does not use a maf.

When you lock the doors, there will be a small red light on the dash that flashes to tell you the alarm is arming.
It is within the water outlet which is at the bottom of the top radiator hose. Mark
Car won't start... engine can turn over, no power.
If your car doesnt start, it could be the battery. But if the car starts and you unplug the negative cable and the car turns off, its the alternator.
Underneath the airbox in the engine compartment. Go to www.autozone.com and look up the EGR valve. They have pictures of it so you know what you are looking for. Hope this helps!
I don't belive Alternator and Starter are even close to each other on this vehical, I don't even know of a vehical built since 1925 with such a setup, There are some very new models being tested.

Typically you know your alternator is out when you have to jump start your car numerous times. A way you can test it is by turning on your car and while it's running discount the + terminal. If the car turns off then your alternator is bad. If the car remains in then alternator is good and possible bad battery. Hope this helps
I think you have to take the tire off to change it if you call your local auto zone, advanced or pep bpoys they can tell you real quick because they offer free battery replacement and they know exactly which models of Chrysler put it behind the wheel ,they hate 'em
