Take a known good spark plug and connect it to one of the spark plug wires. Ground the plug to the block and watch the gap for spark while someone tries to start the engine.
i would like to know what would cause the miss firing in Chevy Malibu
Need to know the year, so WE can answer your question right. You will need to ask your question again with that info. Thank you.

need to know what engine size and year 3.5L 2006
Need to know what size engine.
If you know the distributor cap, plugs, and wires are good then I would suspect a burnt valve or blown head gasket. A compression test will verify this. Remove all plugs, coil wire, and run a compression test on all cylinders. If # 4 & 6 are out of line with the others, you will need to remove the heads and find out what is causing this.
It is debatable but has been known to put out a better spark do to the positioning of the angle spark plugs, but how much more affective this is I dont know.
it in ur ditributer, it could b lots of thing i been haveing the same prob. check your coil check your timing check your wiring to the distributer use a test light to see if ypur even getting fire to the distributer. do that then let me know if u still don't have any fire
AnswerYou need a tune up. You know plugs, wires, distributer cap maybe an oil change. You also have to change the pcv valve, it makes a huge difference when you're getting up in miles.
Nothing, cars are not suppose to be on fire. Not getting no fire is a double negative. What you are really saying is that you have fire. Assuming you mean the car has no fire (no spark) it could be from many things. We need to know the year, make, model and engine info to help you.
i need to know the wiring diagram for the brake switch .. it has six post divided into two plugs
