Your sim will have grey skin (almost white) and the sim will also have fangs and when it is out in daylight it will smoke and eventaly turn into ash so buy a coffin :)x
They don't just become vampires unless you use a cheat, or befriend a vampire. You get vampires with Nightlife. Take the sim Downtown, and look for a vampire to befriend. Most dress like you would expect, and they have different eyes, and very pale skin. Make friends with one, and when the relationship is high enough, your sim can ask them to bite, and then they will, and you have a vampire.

When your sim gets bitten by a vampire, it will take a few days in sim time until they turn into a vampire. They can have special powers like reading minds that you can only do at night time. If your sim goes outside a small icon will appear saying the they need to go inside before they burn! You can have babies but they will be a human not a vampire baby.
