It's hard to figure out if the fuel filter is bad or not, but it's an inexpensive part and easily changed so changing it is a good place to start for troubleshooting
I do not know this is an awful hard question ask somebody else
Yes, but it may be a permanent filter in the tank. See if you can buy one and you will know.
Try looking under the truck with a creeper near the rear of the engine, it is round. No, the above answer is not correct. The fuel filter is inside the fuel tank on a 95 Dodge 1500 RAM. I know, I own one and had it replaced. this is a very expensive filter so you know
Great question. I have an '02 sierra 4x4 and the fuel pump went out at 55,000. It would be great to know. I asked my mechanic, who is very trust worthy, and at the time he said there was not.
cant there is no fitting on these trucks I know ,I have an '88 Gmc Sierra You have to remove the fuel filter and splice one in
Need to know the engine size.
the fuel filter is inaccesible...it is located inside the tank and the only way to change it, is to drop the tank and remove the pump assembly. if this has been of some help let me know...novadrive69@yahoo.com
The filter is in the tank, part of the fuel pump module.Answera good possibility is that your 01 is set up the same way as my 97 and in that case, the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump. i haven't taken mine apart yet to find out if i can clean the filter or if it actually needs to be replaced, but if it does require replacement, i know that it costs around $230 from an auto parts store.
The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank I just called Auto Zone here in Tn. where I live and it is in the fuel tank made with the pick-up tube as one pc. You have to drop the tank to get to it. It runs about $350.00. Yea I know my jaw hit the ground too!! TEX
Is it an electronic or mechanical
Change the fuel filter first. If that doesn't help, change the fuel pump.
fuel filter is recommended to be changed every 15,000 miles
