It's the only way heat could reach us. It comes via electromagnetic radiation, discovered theoretically by James Clerk Maxwell. It can't come by conduction or convection because space is empty, there is no air there.

there is always light coming from the sun, thus bringing forth heat. even though there are clouds, the light travels through clouds, bringing you heat.i cant believe you didnt already know this:)
I don't know whether this is the case, but if it is so, that would mean that they absorb a large percentage of incoming radiation.

Thus if the cold body isn't blocked off from the hot body it will receive heat from it by radiation. Convection requires a fluid for heat conveyance, which doesn't exist between the sun and earth. Conduction requires contact for heat transfer.

by insulating heat producing system from 4 sides will reduce radiation. and that insulator should be in dark colour, because we know that dark bodies absorb radiations easily.

However, radiation does not require a medium through which to travel. It can travel through a vacuum, and therefore space. Therefore, it's the only surviving option for heat transmission.
