How do you know that you are gay?

It's pretty straightforward, you are if you are emotionally and physically attracted to members of the same sex. Not just physically but, emotionally too. In addition to not being turned on by women, I am only able to romantically connect with another man, which is why I am gay. So, there has to be an emotional connection too in addition to a sexual one. The sexual feelings would be your first clue but, the emotional ones are when you really start to understand what you like. For example, I really thought my best friend was handsome but, I didn't understand where that was coming from until I realized I was also in love with him. It also helps to look back at your childhood for clues as stereotypical as they might seem. I was a boy who played with barbies, and always looked up to females as my heroes as role models. I also could decorate my house at two better than my mom could. Not every gay person had such blatant, stereotypical experiences as I did though, so stick with what you want emotionally and physically at first.
