The vehicle will have low compression causing it to misfire and not run
Intake Manifold....smelling radiator fluid fumes in cabin or white smoke in exhaust. Exhaust manifold or cylinder head....smelling burnt oil in cabin or black smoke in exhaust
Do you see white smoke coming out of your exhaust , even when the engine is warmed up ? If so , it could be a bad head gasket , a warped head , or a cracked head
Coolant getting into a combustion chamber. Probably a bad head gasket or intake manifold gasket.
If the engine still runs check to see if there are exhaust gasses coming out of the radiator or coolant coming out of the exhaust pipe That's a bad head gasketBetter yet Do them both Itll give you peace of mind knowing neither are bad when you are done
If it is leaking from a bad head gasket, it is because of a bad head gasket. If it is leaking from a bad intake manifold gasket, it is because of a bad intake manifold gasket.
A bad head gasket or a cracked head will do that.
You bring the cylinder to be tested to TDC and connect the test guage. You apply the pressure and see if it holds. If it does not, you listen for air in the intake to see if the intake valves are bad, the exhaust to see if the exhaust valve is bad, the dip stick tube to see if the rings are bad and you look at the coolant in the radiator to check for bubbles to see if the head is bad or has a gasket leak.
es, incorrect timing will cause the cylinders to run hot - but If it was a timing issue it would most likely be on both cylinders. Check for: - Intake leak (Check the intake seals at the carb and head) - Exhaust leak at the head. - Bad exhaust valve. (Do a wet and dry compression test or a leakdown test.) Also make sure that you have the right spark plugs in it. It could also be a blocked water or oil passage, but If the head was loose there's a good possibility that the alignment with the intake changed and I suspect that you most likely have an intake leak where the intake mates with the head. You can check it by spraying some carb cleaner or WD-40 around the intake seals with the bike running. If the engine speed changes when you spray around the seals you have an intake leak.
The intake could, but it is real rare because of the distance between the water jacket and the intake runner on that year engine. Most of the time that a intake is leaking coolant it will run into the oil pan and the engine oil will turn white. Your problem if the engine is steaming white out of the exhaust and over heating is a Bad head gasket or crack in the intake or exhaust valve chamber in the head. Need to magnaflux the heads for cracks before reinstalling them. Check them with a stright edge to make sure there not warped too. Sounds like it was over heated. GOOD LUCK NEUTZ.
That means you have WATER leaking into the combustion chamber. BAD head gasket, Intake gasket leaking into the cylinder heads ( NOT COMMON ) Head cracked in are around the valves / from overheating. More then likely you will find your problem in in the head gaskets are heads.
yes. a cracked head, a warped head , bad head gasket , etc....
It means you have a bad head gasket.
