hard starting or it fill like you run out of gas. it will turn but won't start.
First thing would be that the car won't start. You can also just look in the trunk next to the spare tire hole and under the plate is your fuel pump. If it is not there then you will know.
i would like to know as well
Yes the ecu will work. First disconnect the battery and connect the new one then reconnect the batter. Start up the 240sx and it should work it not it needs to be diagnoste goggle 1990 240sx ECU CODES FOLLOW THE STEPS AND THAT SHOULD WORK I know cause I'm using a 1992 ECU FROM Nissan Stanza. I was told it's alittle advanced on the horse power side and idle moves quicker.
116638 is fairly low mileage, but they did not make the 240SX until 1989. My 89 coupe has around 136000 on it (don't know exactly because someone tampered with the mileage)
Look at pictures, or know that 89-90 have a sohc ka24e and 91-98 have a dohc ka24de
I want to know how much is the Nissan saloon 86 model's fuel consumption?
As far as I know, it should have a gasket. Make sure to use gasket sealer as well when replacing it.
check it
there is a retract control relay, i don't know where it is but look at the fuse/relay boxes under the hood, it should be marked
Just replace it.
your temp guage will sky rocket if its bad, you may even have coolant a coolant leak (comming out of the the housing of the thermostat). replacing it is easy and cheap.
with the key in the on position, is sending power to the fuel pump and turning it on. if your relay is clicking, then the switch is bad and shorting out. locate it in the trunk of the car, or whereever it is depending on the model of 240sx, and replace the relay switch, if you know what you're doing. if not, have a mechanic do it, which will cost under $100 for less than 1 hour of labor. granted you supply the new relay switch. make sure you tell the mechanic exactly what you want done, otherwise they will try to find other things to charge you money for.
