Total rubbish. Bettas are intelligent fish. Mine remember which end of their tanks they are fed at. They will also jump to take food off my hand.
goldfish do have longer than a 3 second memory
Goldfish can only remember the past five seconds of their life.
Sensory
Yes Bettas will remember and recognise people particularly those who feed them or who give them a hard time. wat is "giving it a hard time?" Chasing them around in their aquarium with a hand or net is giving them a hard time as is shocking them by tapping on the sides of their aquarium.
The goldfish It is said a goldfish only has a memory span of just a few seconds
Not quite. They only have a memory span for three seconds. Then they forget everything all over. I am not an expert but I heard it on tv, you should google it.
Only things like who feeds them and what they should and shouldn't eat. Their memory lasts about 5 seconds.
I know as a fact (from a book) that a goldfish only has a three-second memory. So I never expect my goldfish to recognize me as their owner! =) Despite popular opinion that goldfish have no memory it has been show in many studies they do have long term memories. It is generally accepted be around two week but some studies have shown it to be up to 11 months.
yes but only if yours is very hurt by the other betta fish.
A betta eats a few pellets or a pinch of flakes 3 times a day. It is best to use only food designed for a betta. Also keep in mind that a betta's stomach is the size of his/her eye.
NO! I did a science project on it. Not sure how long their memory is, but it is LONGER THAN A DAY, EVEN!
Short-term memory is memory that only holds a few items of information. It does not last long, so it must be rehearsed in order to be encoded into the brain for storage. Most of the time-it lasts up to 18 seconds.
