You can never prove something doesn't exist. With thousands of universes, there could be a planet with our most feared things on it. and we still have no proof that vampires do not exist.

A number of "monsters" are actually human beings with misunderstood medical conditions. Then leave it to bigotry and rumors, with a little imagination mixed in, and over time, there are legends with creatures who have little resemblance to the people who inspired their literary creation. There are humans who cannot stand sunlight for medical reasons, and some who are missing certain blood proteins who would benefit from regular transfusions, or even a diet of raw blood if transfusions are not available. There are also humans who are covered almost completely with hair, sort of like a wolf, though with no wolf genes in them.

Who is the you that you are referring to? For in every book vampires are displayed differently and some without even involving blood. All views of vampires are different and there is no one way to be a vampire. And you never know if someone is a vampire or if vampires are real........
