You know if current is flowing in a bulb circuit because, if there is enough power (voltage times current), the bulb will illuminate.

If there is current, but not enough power to illuminate the bulb, you will need to measure the current with an ammeter to see if there is any current.

What is status of a circuit that is complete and unbroken with flowing electric current?

A circuit that is complete and unbroken with flowing electric current normally has steady supply of voltage with no broken links. Electrical energy flows to light up a bulb or do similar work. Its status is complete, nothing else is needed.

A light bulb in a simple circuit blows and goes out Is current now flowing in the circuit?

No. Circuit is open but still HOT.

Why is generator armature harder to rotate when it is connected to a circuit and supplying electric current?

Because a generator extracts energy from whatever is rotating it and passes this (by the electric current it produces) down the circuit to the motor (or light bulb or heater) where it is used. When there is no complete electric circuit, no electricity can flow so no (little) energy is extracted, but when the circuit is closed, electricity does flow and the armature is more difficult to turn.

What happens to the current flowing in the ring main as more bulbs are turned on at night?

As more light bulbs are added in a series circuit, the effective resistance of the circuit increases. That causes the current leaving the source to decrease.

How are series circuit and parallel circuits?

For parallel circuit, there's bronchus which mean the electric current'd have to choose which path to go. There's a main loop and more than one bronchus. If the bulb in one of the bronchus break down, the other bulbs would still light up. For series circuit, there's only one path for the electric current to flow through. If one of the bulb breaks down, the other'd go out as well. The electric current of evbery bulb in a series circuit is the same while the electric current of bulb in parallel circuit are not the same. The sum of the bronchus in a parallel circuit is equal to the main loop's.The more bulbs in a path, the more resistance will there be and less brighter it will be.A larger current will flow through the path with lower resistance so te brightness of the bulb of the bronchus will hace differences asc well.

If two light-bulbs are connected in a series circuit and one of the light-bulb's current flowing is 0.5 A what is the current flowing in the other light-bulb?

Current in a series circuit is the same throughout the circuit. Voltages are additive. Voltage in a parallel circuit is the same throughout the circuit. Currents are additive.

What gives out a light if an electric current flows through it?

A light bulb in an electric circuit when electricity reaches it.

Is the amount of current that flows in the wire of electric circuit the same as the current that flows in the filament of the light connected in that circuit?

yes

What is meany by resistor?

Resistor is a component of an electric circuit that resist the flow of direct or alternating electric current . It can also limit or divide the current, reduce the voltage, protect an electric circuit, or provide large amounts of heat or light.

What would happen if there is no an electric switch in a curcuit?

Generally we use electric switches to put on or off the light, fan, computer, music system, etc. An electric switch is a device that is used to open or close an electric circuit.when we open an electric circuit the flow of electric current inthe circuit stops and when we close an electric circuit an electric current flows through it.

What is an electric current flowing in only one direction?

In a series circuit, then yes, there is only one pathway. For example: if one bulb fuses, all the bulbs in the serial circuit will go out. But there are more pathways in a parallel circuit. For example: if one bulb fuses, all the other bulbs in the parallel circuit will still light.

How does electric current flow in the b connection?

how does electric current flow in the b connection? do the two bulbs in a series circuit, light when the middle bulb is loose? why?

What happens to an electric current at a light switch?

When an electrical switch is in the off position, the circuit is interrupted. When the switch is on, the circuit is open and complete.

What effect does decreased resistance have on a circuit?

resistance is the opposition to the flow of an electric current, therefore the current will decrease as the resistance increases. Resistance also creates heat. This is how the light globes in a circuit light up.

What is happening when a switch is off?

When the light switch is turned on and a light bulb is connected in the circuit a current will flow through the circuit. Likewise when the switch is opened, the current will stop flowing in the circuit.
