Just like the oil filter you just change it at a regular scheduled interval. I recommend every 50,000 miles if it is not a permanent filter.
If it has over 36,000 miles it is time.
Fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank so you have to remove you fuel tank to replace the fuel filter. I had a problem with mine and had to replace the fuel pump and filter at the same time.
There is no real way of knowing when to change a fuel filter. I recommend changing it every 50,000 miles. A clogged fuel filter will overwork your fuel pump, which can require costly repairs, maybe not tomorrow or next week but it will eventually cause the fuel pump to fail. For as cheap as a fuel filter is usually 15 dollars it will save you hundreds.
no set time also very hard change .should be change when fuel pump change
It will get stoped up and the engine won't run. Most of the time a stoped up fuel filter is what burns the fuel pump up.
On all Sonata's from 2004 on the fuel filter is in the fuel tank. The fuel pump is mounted inside it and according to the dealer it is a "life time" filter that they only change when replacing the pump or if fuel was contaminated.
every time you change or tune up your truck.
U can have the fuel pump and fuel filter both changed in bout 1:30 and thats taking ur time.
The fuel filter is in the gas tank. It has been industry practice for a long time. You might as well replace the fuel pump and fuel sending unit while you're in there.
I have never seen a car that did not require a fuel filter of some sort, and they need changing from time to time.
Usually not, unless it is clogged. The fuel fiter on most Dodge Dakotas is integrated into the fuel pump module inside the fuel tank. You cannot change just the filter, you must replace the fuel pump module (difficult and not cheap. For my 1994 Dakota, it was $800 for the part and several hours of my time).
The Subaru Outback fuel filter is located inside of the fuel tank. Changing the fuel filter can be very costly and time-consuming.
