Well, there is a little question mark next to the Minor Edit Check Box that explains its purpose and how to use it. If you are not adding content but fixing grammar, you would check that box. Otherwise, you would leave it unchecked as i do when adding content to questions such as these or when I am writing answers to unanswered questions.

How do you edit WikiAnswers?

There are a number of things on WikiAnswers that can be edited.Editing Answers:Click wither orange "Improve" links in the answer area, or the "Improve answer" in the blue menu area to the left. Make your changes. If minor edits such as punctuation or spelling corrections are made, do not click the minor changes check box on the right of the editing page. Why can't you get the correct answers on WikiAnswers?

The reason an answer might be incorrect is because this is a "Wiki". That means anyone can come and edit it. If you see something 100% incorrect use the flag tool to mark the questions for review.

How do you remove your name from the 'Last edit' space?

tick the box beside>>>Mark this as a minor edit. Check this if you're improving the spelling, grammar, or format, rather than adding content. ___WikiName____ will be included in the page history but not be listed as the last person to modify the answer.

What can you do to get rid of the 'Edit Alternates' on WikiAnswers?

First, you don't want to get rid of the 'Edit Alternates' button on WikiAnswers. However, if you are asking how to get rid of the alternates of a questions that do not belong, simply click the check mark box (once you clicked the 'Edit Alternates' link) for all alternate wordings that do not apply to the main question, then go up to the top and select 'Split'. Do not remove any alternate wordings that are a reworded form of the main question or are basically asking the same thing as the question.

If you make an improvement in an answer and you mark it as a minor change when people recommend the answerer why does it go to the other person but not you?

The other user gets credit for it because a minor edit means that you only made a small change, like changing the spelling or grammar of the answer. If information is added to the answer, then it shouldn't be considered a minor edit. As the infromation after that tick box says: "Check this if you're improving the spelling, grammar, or format, rather than adding content."i am am stupid loser----Yes but what if the last edit was a couple of spam lines? Check discussion for this question.
