when you charging the system can't add more amount to system.so before we charging the system we must know that system ampere for full load, otherwise system can be damage.
You'll need a pressure gauge and know how to use it. The gauge will tell you when you have the right amount in.
I have a 1999 chevy lumina 3.1 engine and i need to know how much freon to put in.I just bought a pressure gauge and i don't know how much freon to put in. Thank you! Michael Hendrix
To give you the correct amount of freon I would need to know the year, make and model of the vehicle that you are working on....
Freon is a dangerous and deadly gas that can be fatal. However, the amount of Freon in a refrigerator is usually minimal, but it is still dangerous.
The average amount of pounds a Chevy Caprice would take is 3 to 4 pounds. Freon is difficult to obtain and you have to know what you are doing to charge a car.
What we use is called a freon identifier and what it does is it takes a small amount of the freon that is in the tank and gives its identification and values.........
The freon fill amount is on a sticker on the A/C housing on most vehicles.
The amount of Freon you will need to recharge your air conditioning system is dependent upon how low the Freon level is. You should begin with a one pound bottle of Freon.

The exact amount of Freon that needs to be added to a Kia Optima is unknown. This is because if Freon is needed there may be a leak and the car will need to be taken to a mechanic.
