The freon fill amount is on a sticker on the A/C housing on most vehicles.
Approximately 4800 lbs., but this can vary a great deal depending on option and equipment.
I have a 1991 ford 150 econoline cargo van and the sticker on it says that it weighs 5280 pounds. It's 2795 front, and 2485 rear.
Not evacuated totally or properly prior to charging? Not charged properly - too much freon Oil not added when charged? Defective compressors?
