You just have to try harder. I find it helps to go out with friends and just do things to keep your mind off of it. If the relationship lasted a while, then you won't get over it immediately, but just try to have fun. You'll feel better. Avoid him. Go out of your way to avoid him and dont take his calls or emails. Dont go to the places you use to go with him. Try to meet someone else or spend more time with family and friends. Keep yourself busy. Dont call him or drive by his house or go to the same places you use to go with him. Are children involved? If so, that might be hard. If so, ask that you only communicate by email for awhile. Maybe not hearing his voice or seeing him face to face might help make the pain go away easier. If you have to drop of kids, pick up kids, ask to do this at a neutral location-family. We are all different. Good luck with your situation. Avoid him and her. Dont let him think you miss him or are thinking of him. Dont call him or anything.

Think of it this way. By wasting your time with someone of the past, you're making all the much harder to look for the one you'll spend the rest of your life with and the person who is your perfect match.

That person is your ex for a reason. They could be your good friend, but don't occupy your time thinking back on things or trying to hang with them 24/7. GO out there and live life to the fullest and fate will bring you to the on your meant to be with.
