When you are first in the heart, battling the virus, you have to double back out the way you came in, because going forward takes you prematurely to the lungs (you have no gravity core). Leave the heart at the upper left and go to the arm, where you will use the coagulator that you have just recovered.
When you have completed the arm and the brain, return to the heart and travel through to the upper right, where you exit to the lungs (the final virus boss).
