No one likes to be betrayed and it hurts a lot. It's difficult to let go of the anger when it's still fresh in your memory. It takes time and in ways, it's a grieving process as if someone you loved has died. In a sense that has happened; either a boyfriend, husband or friend has betrayed you. Grieving starts with feeling bad, perhaps crying, then the anger comes. Let it go and have a good cry, kick a door, pound on the mattress on the bed (a pillow is as good as the person's face) and then dust yourself off, pick yourself up and get out and be social. Don't EVER let anyone have that much control over you. You are your own person and you are in control. On my fridge I have a great saying (it reminds me when I've been hurt or angry with someone) 'If you can't forgive the person(s) then they still control you!' Now doesn't that just make you madder than hell. Realize that people that betray others will be betrayed by someone else. So get out with friends you can trust and have some fun. There is life after being betrayed and there are good things for you in the future. Good luck! You rise to the occassion and realize that people are weak and make mistakes and the ones that did the misdeeds do not deserve your respect any more then they gave to you. You are entitled to feel annoyed/angry but it will only build up your stress level to hold on to it forever and that is not good for your health. I forgive but dont forget but dont become a fool for a second time with anyone in my life now and look out for the signs of the same behavior from others to avoid anymore strife in my life. YOu have to look out for you.
