Right Click >> Arrange Icons by
Check: Lock web items on desktop
1.Right Click 2.Refresh then , if you restart, you will see the icons are at the same place as you put them before.
By getting a Windows machine
Right click on desktop>properties>desktop>click customize desktop>click web tray>uncheck lock desktop items then click ok..
Assuming your keyboard has a 'Windows Button' (usually bottom left between Ctrl & Alt) press that and 'L'....this will lock your workstation.
For Windows XP, Vista, and 7, the "logon screen" or Welcome Screen. In Windows 8, it's the "Lock Screen".
Right click anywhere on your screen, and choose one of the choices, or left click on them and move them to a spot, then right click and choose Lock so they won't move back when you reboot. I store mine along the left edge of the screen so I can still put up nice screen backgrounds.
It is very simple! Simply go to a store like CVS or Ride Aids etc. Buy a lock from them only for $5.99. Then come home and open up your monitor and set up the lock! after that, put back the screen and protect your desktop icons! Wasn't that so simple!??
Their are severals method for doing this which are as follows: (A) Desktop lock 7.2 -{desktop,mouse, keyboard etc} (B)Code projet (C) Softheap password-securitry (D) Create an hotmail shotcut on your desktop (E)FILE LOCK SOFT WARE ETC
There are two ways you can access the desktop, at the bottom of your screen there should be a taskbar with "Start" and then the middle of the taskbar will either be empty or full of programmes you currently have open and then to the right there is an arrow with mini icons of the programmes you have open and the time.Using your mouse, right click an empty space in the middle part of the task bar, a white box will pop up with a list of options 'Toolbars' 'Cascade Windows' 'Tyle Windows Horizontally' 'Tyle Windows Vertically' 'Show The Desktop' 'Task Manager' 'Lock The Taskbar' 'Properties'. Left click 'Show The Desktop' when you have clicked this you will see that everything you have open will have minimized and it will take you straight to the desktop. If you don't have anything open and there isn't anything to minimize, the icons on your desktop will just refresh.(This option wont take you directly to your desktop, but will bring up a folder with all the programmes stored on your desktop inside) If you go to 'Start' on your taskbar, left clicking on this with your mouse will bring up a list of programmes, within them there should be a'Run...' option, click it once and a small box will pop up in the left hand corner where you can type in anything you want easy access to, in the white space provided where it says 'Open:', type in 'Desktop'and click the ok button below it. This will open up a folder with all the contents of your desktop inside.Hope this helps.
