How to look after bearded dragons

1) Feeding.

feed him 4 to 6 crickets a day you can do this all in one or half in the morning and half in evening I prefer this because it's harder for the crickets to get away and hide. If a cricket does hide behind his box that he sleeps in please do not move anything about to give him access to it as it will come out when his light goes off and he will probably catch it then. He also needs vegetables and vitamins provided in the powder provide sprinkle a pinch of one on his food and then the next day do the same with the other. The veg I would like u to feed him is small pieces of cucumber and dandelion leafs. Warning when u are putting food into his cage be careful that he does not jump out of his cage into the box of crickets!

2) Water

He needs his water blow to be refilled every day it can be in the morning or at night as long as he has got fresh water (not bin in there for over 24 hours) I don't mind. Don't put the water blow on the hot end of the cage.

3) Cleaning

He needs to be cleaned as often as he does a poo. There is no need to clean his cage except from scoping his poo and putting in the toilet or bin. Use the scooper I have provided.

4) Handling

He needs to be handled regularly he enjoys human interaction. When handling him make sure you pick him up from underneath, on his belly his tale will normally spin like a helicopter and then stop after 3 or 4 seconds make sure you always give him some were to go because he Is not afraid to leap and drops from human height are dangerous. After handling wash your hand as he carries salmonella but is hard to catch of him unless you kiss him.

5) Lights and working of the cage

I will set up the cage, but there are a few things u should know the light goes on at 8 and of at 6 or 7 you do not need to touch any of the workings of the cage. But if my breaded dragon jumps on one of the wires that attaches to the each end of the light it may not completely knock it out but it may slightly so push both ends of the florescent light to see if it has come out of place but other than that, hopefully there will be no other problems that incur while we are away.

6) Temperature

The cages temperature at the hot end should be under the light about 35 to 41 degrees but this is not a problem as is on a thermostat. The in the hot end of the cage (not under the light) it should be about 25 to 35 degrees, in the cold end it should be 20 to 28 degrees if drops under 20 it dangerous but it should not drop under that unless a window is left open and its cold or something like that.

7) Things to look out for.

If his beard goes get black and he starts jumping around and being territorial don't touch him or bang his cage. If he just starts nodding his head and moving about weirdly he is showing off it is okay to pick him up whens he's like this but I generally don't. He generally does not move a lot and just sits in different places around his cage but when there's food in the cage he sometimes stalks his pray or just runs really fast to catch it.
