you can tighten the actual chain but that may be hard to do. my advice is that there shoulbe be some bolts in the swingarms that holg the axle in one place loosen them and move the axle back until the chain is where you want it
stick a screw driver in sprocket hole into the slits cut for tightening loosen the two bolts and jerk ATV forward

on the rear axle housing, sprocket side, there should be a large spanner nut. Loosen the two bolts that tighten the rear axle in the housing and turn that spanner nut. Not sure which direction, you should be able to figure that out.
