SQUATS!!!! Sorry but they can be painfull. Just remember, theres good pain and bad pain. Good pain is just soreness, bad pain is well I'm sure you no what bad pain can feel like. Lunges are also very good. Just remember STRETCH BEFORE and AFTER!!! This will help decrease tha possibilty of injury and help lessen the soreness. You don't need to add any wieghts to theses exercises either.
