there should be adjusting straps if you flip the seat over, it depends on the model, I belive you can also look up user manuals on how to do that from the site.

It's not a rear facing car seat... only forward facing
first you open your car, then pop the trunk lid...there should be 2 black straps hanging from above the car inside the trunk...pull the straps down, your seats will release from the locking position....
